PARK HILLS, MO (News First) – The Mineral Area men’s basketball team fell by 19 Saturday to the 12th-ranked junior college team in the country during the St. Francois County Rotary Shootout held at the fieldhouse on the MAC campus. Jones College downed the Cardinals 62-43. As for the MAC women, they won their 10th in a row and improved to 13-2 after defeating Dyersburg State 67-40 in the shootout. There were also five high school games played at the Rotary Shootout Saturday. The North County boys edged Kingston 56-54. The Steelville Cardinals won a tight won over West County 57-55. South Iron stayed undefeated by beating St. Pius 58-43 and it was Farmington by 40 over Saxony Lutheran 71-31. There was also one girls high school game in the shootout and it was all Central Lady Rebels. They defeated St. Pius 61-27.
