ST FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (News First) – Two men were injured Wednesday morning in a one-car crash in St. Francois County. The accident took place at 1950 Route ‘N’, just north of the Route ‘N-N’ junction near Iron Mountain. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 40-year-old man from Farmington was driving a 2005 Cadillac CTS northbound on ‘N’ and too fast for conditions. The driver failed to make a left-hand curve, the car began to skid, crossed the center line and ran off the road.

Once leaving the road, the car struck a utility pole guy wire and overturned. The Cadillac came to rest on its top. The driver received moderate injuries and his passenger, a 55-year-old man from Bismarck received minor injuries. Both were taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis for treatment.
